IT Selection Services Case Study
In a mainframe outsourcing project for a run-off insurance company, we managed the production of an ITT and the tendering process through to selection of an outsourcing partner for the housing and operations of their ICL maintenance workload. As a result of this, our client was able to transfer costly non-core business activities via a fully documented and technically evaluated selection process.
In another project for an insurance service provider, we identified service requirements and ITT parameters and supported contractual negotiations for a workstation and network support outsourcing project. An important benefit was that the client achieved flexible arrangement with an outsourcer allowing for both growth and contraction of their head count without financial penalty.
For a Lloyd’s managing agency, we led the business through a structured process towards the selection of a new underwriting and processing system. This included developing a business requirements specification, facilitating the receipt of vendor enquiries, responses and presentations, leading the review and assessment process and managing the vendor negotiations.
We also managed the selection of new accounting software for a major insurer, where the business requirements were complicated by the need to ensure tight integration with existing processing systems.
