Analysis of business intelligence requirements for a life reinsurance company delivered recommendations for the design and implementation of a BI solution architecture.
Analysis of motor policy business processes and existing systems for a major insurance company provided a detailed specification of business requirements for a new system and contributed to the development of the overall IT strategy.
Detailed analysis of an insurer's reinsurance programme allowed us to design and support the development of an excess-of-loss recovery calculation system, incorporating complex programme recovery rules, integrated with the existing recovery collection, credit control and financial reporting processes.
Analysis of current business processes and future requirements for the Group Life and Health Administration function (including scheme underwriting, account management, benefits administration, medical underwriting, Death in Service and Long-Term Disability claim handling, Death in Service annuities, pensions, reinsurance and the management of investments) allowed a major life insurance client to optimise business processes and select an appropriate software solution.
An IT strategy study for a major insurer involved a review of business applications and the development of a one year IT plan to deliver systems to meet the business’s immediate needs. As a result of our project, the business was able to use its new systems to manage and monitor its performance within 6 months of the start of the programme, and ultimately to replace aging supported applications.
A business review of the requirements of a major assurance corporation for a Private Health Insurance system ensured that the new system met user needs while fully supporting existing IT priorities.
In another project for a Lloyd’s syndicate, our analysis of underwriting operations delivered a requirements and functional specification that provided a sound basis for the development of a new risk recording system.
A study of the claims function of a motor syndicate, including prototyping and review workshops, delivered not only a requirements specification but also commitment to the solution across the business.
