IT Projects
Northdoor design and deliver a wide variety of IT projects for clients in London and across the UK. These can range from technology specific projects, such as upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Exchange, through to large complex projects such as IT demergers.
We also design, supply and implement complete IT systems for clients, whether this be a greenfield site or as a result of an IT demerger.
For example when Digital UK was set up as an entity we designed, supplied and implemented all their IT systems (applications, servers, storage, desktops, network, telephony etc) and have been managing them since then.
Our work at Freeview is an example of an IT demerger. Freeview were housed in the BBC and using BBC IT systems. When Freeview left the BBC premises they required their own IT systems and the migration of their applications and data from the BBC systems. We performed this work and have been managing Freeview’s IT systems since then.
We start these projects with a Project Definition Workshop (PDW) involving the interested parties from the client, key 3rd party suppliers and Northdoor. The purpose of the PDW is to define the requirements, objectives and key success factors and thus to enable the production of a clear specification and project plan that everyone has agreed to.
For larger clients with multiple locations, the projects can involve the TUPE transfer of staff, WAN provision and management and infrastructure hosting.
If you are planning an IT project, setting up a new business or carving one out of an existing organisation then please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss this with you on a no obligation basis.
