Jon Milward, Director of Managed and Support Services

With a track record of building successful businesses himself, Jon is committed to helping our clients achieve their commercial goals. By providing peace of mind in the shape of great IT support, Jon believes we free clients to ‘get on with the job’. His day-to-day focus is on managing the team to deliver a proactive, value-driven approach to IT support that truly benefits our clients’ businesses. He is also responsible for the strategic growth of the business, including the evaluation of new technologies and recruitment and training of skilled staff to reflect the evolution of our clients’ IT support needs.
Following a PhD in Physics, he began his career with the Defence Research Agency (now Qinetic). During a nine year career with DERA he was promoted from research scientist to heading a major business group with P&L responsibility. After an Executive MBA at London Business School, Jon joined IBM reseller Platinum Blue with the objective of growing the business and developing new internet-based technologies.
Jon joined Northdoor in 2005 when we acquired Platinum Blue. He initially took on the role of general manager of our infrastructure business, which he grew by more than 20 per cent in two years, before moving into his current role early in 2008.
